The guest speaker for this event is Judith Semo, J.D., principal of the private practice law firm Judith Jurin Semo PLLC, in Washington, D.C. As counsel to anesthesiology practices nationwide, Ms. Semo has had extensive experience in legal issues relating to the practice of anesthesiology, including contracting with hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers, developing pay-for-performance programs, drafting employment agreements, and other practice management issues facing anesthesiology practices. Ms. Semo’s written work includes a practice management guide for anesthesiology residents, a guide on managed care contracting for anesthesiologists, and a co-authored HIPAA privacy manual for anesthesiologists. The title of her presentation is “Proving Your Anesthesia Value: Understanding What Your Hospital and ASC Partners Really Want from You.”
